26 years experience in combining solid analysis and the engagement with relevant stakeholders to accomplish the growth of protected areas and the reduction of illegal logging and deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon. I have published 109 studies (scientific papers, technical reports, book, book chapters and policy briefs) about forestry, cattle ranching, environmental law and policy and drivers of deforestation. My research has been cited nearly 200 times by major international and national news media.
