After having finished my degree in security studies at the University of St. Andrews, I decided to focus on the energy sector. Having worked for the Clingendael International Energy Programme where the emphasis of my research lay with Sub-Saharan Africa, I wanted to challenge myself academically again. As a PhD candidate with the Delft University of Technology I focus on upstream rent capturing mechanisms, specifically the institutional arrangement in three North Sea countries: Norway, the UK and the Netherlands. After having completed 2 years of research at the University I am back at Clingendael finalising my PhD research and working as a researcher.
