I've had a widely varied work experience. I've milked cows at the MU dairy farm, worked in several biology and physiology labs, counseled farmers in the wake of Hurricane David on Dominica, cultivated ornamental and edible plants for a commercial greenhouse and performed as a substitute teacher K-12 for nearly 20 years. Since 2009 I have been a 6th Special Education teacher in the Cameron R-1 School District. All of these jobs have had a strong education component, with the exception of the dairymaid job.

My main occupational goal is to continue learning in a community of students. If I am excited to learn and communicate that excitement, my students will be inspired to learn, as well.
