I'm currently on sabbatical, investigating a range of interesting opportunities for what comes next.
In my last role I was a Senior Staff Engineer with VMware, having joined the company as part of its 2009 SpringSource acquisition.
At VMware and SpringSource I created a variety of technologies. These included Elastic Runtime, an auto-scaling, fault tolerant cloud platform, and Spring Roo, which is a popular Java-based rapid application development platform. The user interface technology in Spring Roo was extracted and made into Spring Shell, which in turn underpins many other commercial and open-source products.
