The Boys of Fall
I walk onto the field of play, where so many boys have become men. I watched as my brothers and now even my nephews learn the most important values they will ever learn in life. The heat almost unbearable the humidity on the field rises thanks to the damp grass from the morning dew. The boys hold hands as they walk to the coin toss and of course to wish their opponent the best of luck. Each blade of grass moves with the cool morning breeze. You can feel the adrenaline running through the veins of the nine year old boys who have been working extremely hard at practice in preparation for this very morning. Each step towards the coin toss
