I have worked in many areas of Speech Pathology including schools, rehabilitation, trauma units, foreign accent reduction, developmentally disabled children and adults, teaching at SMU in Dallas, private practice, and many other positions.
I enjoy my work very much. However, since I began my career the paperwork that has been added as a requirement (schools, mostly), has resulted in less time with the patient and more time writing reports. Most of the of over-whelming paperwork has been in the schools as it is tied to programs such as No Child Left Behind and IDEA (governmental regulations.)
