Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work with & learn from quite a few people. I have quickly come to learn that I am not through learning. Although I have been in the work world for 40+ years, I still continue to learn from others. One of my mentors was the Vice-President of Finance at Ray's Restaurants, which is no longer in business. This was one of my first full-time jobs & I certainly had much to learn. I still carry today 3 important philosophies from him:
When he asked you why something did not get done, he did not want to hear "Its not my job."
