- 6. Invest in only a few large features. Often times, we clutter the landscape by trying to have it all.
- 9. Sturgeon makes the point that the boundaries contain the canvas of the garden. So get creative with it! he suggests painting or lighting up the boundary, or using an interesting material to construct it.
- 12. In small gardens,make sure every piece also has some functionality. For example, get seats that also can be used for storage
- 14. Don't try for too wide a variety of plants- they often end up clashing with one another. just pic a few and make sure they work together.
