My research focuses on measuring and modeling complex phenomena in systems that entangle technological and social factors, using digital traces of human behavior as first-order objects for investigation. I analyze and model the structure and dynamics of social media, information networks and behavioral social networks. I also work on measuring human contact patterns with applications to infectious disease dynamics and epidemiology.
