Dr Vijayaraghavan M Chariar is Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology. He is part of the Centre for Rural Development and Technology. While Dr Chariar’s training is in experimental materials science, he has over the last decade worked on diverse areas such as Design for Sustainability, Traditional Knowledge Systems, Green Housing, Ecological Sanitation. Dr Chariar’s uses an experiential and participant centred approach in his pedagogy and has inspired a large number of students to achieve their highest innate potential.
