I am Cherie Ann Turpin, aka Afrofuturism Scholar, and I am an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of the District of Columbia. My research areas include African Diaspora Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, World Literature, Multicultural American Literature, Popular Culture, and Film Studies.
