The School of General Studies is the undergraduate college at Columbia University dedicated to students following a nontraditional academic path.
The GS student body includes students returning to finish their bachelor’s degree after interrupting their education for personal or professional reasons, students earning a second bachelor’s degree, students studying part time, and students enrolled in a dual degree program with affiliate institutions such as Sciences Po or The Jewish Theological Seminary.
