I intend to use my skill as a historian/researcher to delve into the study of contemporary minority ethnic societies within the Caribbean region. I will understudy existing cultures, and endeavour to find ways to main sustainability for future generations. As a member of ethnic minority of Dominica, being of Kalinago descent, I feel strongly that the points of view of these people must be aired. As an artisan and musician I also feel deeply about developing aspects of the culture that helps to portray to the wider Dominica society, the Kalinago community’s uniqueness within the region and the entire world.
