Craig McClain is the Deputy Director for the Triangle Center for Evolutionary Medicine (TriCEM), a nonprofit institute exploring the intersection of evolutionary science and medicine. He has conducted oceanographic research for 18 years and published over 50 papers in the area. He has participated in dozens of expeditions taking him to the Antarctic and the most remote regions of the Pacific and Atlantic. Craig’s research focuses mainly on marine systems and particularly the biology of body size, biodiversity, metabolism, and energy flow focusing often on the deep sea.
