I absolutely love being a college professor and being in academia!!! I would not trade it for anything in the world....I love teaching, writing, and working with students each and every day, and the free time it gives me to pursue all of my interests. I love living in a small college town with a close community of great friends (and I love the Midwest.....best people in the world!). I do miss being near an ocean though....although Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes work as a good substitute! Additionally, I have the greatest/smartest wife in the world who loves to travel and we share the same interests and passion for adventure and excitement. On September 23, 2012 we had our daughter,
