I grew up in northern California and moved down to sunny San Diego for the beaches and my studies. I graduated from the University of California - San Diego and have since lived in Washington, DC (6 years), Kampala, Uganda (6 months), and London, England (3 years and counting).  

Career-wise, I work in international development and human rights, particularly as it collides with the extractive industry sector. Most recently I've worked for the Fund for Global Human Rights in Washington, DC (4 years), then for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Uganda on oil and human rights, and now I'm in London working for a ethical minerals consultancy that reduces the mining industry's harm and increases t
