My research concerns the study of language in general (acquisition and disorders), but also the study of reading and writing development according to a psycholinguistic approach. To date, I have investigated the strategies of regulation and monitoring of the comprehension of the academic reading used by the university students of first year having disorders at a low level (i.e. decoding).
I'm also interested in language development in toddlers and preschoolers. That's why my current research project (fondecyt 3130398) seeks to study language competences in infants from impoverished populations and how to improve it by means of play.
