I grew up out in the sticks, and then I moved all over the country. Now, my husband and I have settled down into our dream house in Queen Creek, Arizona (a suburb of Phoenix). We own a couple of small businesses.
I've spent most of the last couple of decades managing strategic communications for a diverse cross-industry client set. I covered Arizona politics for The Huffington Post from 2008 through 2009.
I believe we all should do something meaningful to help build the communities around us -- however small or large -- to make this world a better place for everyone.
