Born in Borger, Texas, started school in Gruver, Texas, moved to Corpus Christi, then Hobbs, NM and back to Borger for HS graduation. Graduate of WTSU and Sam Houston State University; married for 43 years to Jerry Vance, HHS '68, WTSU '72 and Texas A&M-CC. Currently HS librarian at Liberty Hill HS and adjunct English teacher for Austin Community College.
