I grew up in Almora, a small town in the state of Uttarakhand and have three daughters and five grandchildren. Have been writing for about 30 years and have over 50 books for children and adults published, some of which have received awards. Have always been a compulsive reader. To share my passion for reading I organize the Habitat Children's Book Forum at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi where we introduce kids to a variety of books.
