You can't always get what you want...but sometimes you get what you need.
Late bloomer and proud of it -- found love at 40, engaged at 41, married at 42, bought first home at 45, became a Mom at 48. Family matters more to me than most everything else. I'm a failed culinary school/chef path gal, but still cook well/enjoy culinary arts. I earned a PhD in Sociology and have taught, done research and lots of writing. These days find me combining academic-hat writing with fun stuff (parenting, families, children's book efforts). I am poorly traveled yet love every place I've been, even the ick places, because they were somewhere new. Favorite spot on earth so far -- Hapuna Beach/Big Island. Le
