My research experience includes developing and release of improved cultivars and germplasm enhancement in wheat and switchgrass using conventional breeding methods and molecular markers.
My current research is on:
1. Molecular marker development and utilization for linkage mapping
2. QTL identification, validation and introgression into new germplasm
3. Development of marker assisted selection in switchgrass
4. Transcriptome analysis and identification of candidate gene for different traits
