Daniel Spichtinger has been working on EU funded research projects since 2004. From January 2012 to January 2018 he was employed by the European Commission as a member of the unit responsible for open access to scientific peer-reviewed publications and research data. As of September 2018 he is working in Vienna, Austria as an independent expert for EU research projects & policy and as a specialist for issues related to open science.
