I'm a Colorado based DBA, working with both Traditional RDBMSs and the newer data stores, who calls the Central foothills his home and is not interested in moving out of the area. I am not currently looking (either actively or passively) for a new position.
After working with Microsoft SQL Server as a developer and DBA for the past 10+ years, I have moved on to working with and understanding alternative data stores (which some people label NoSQL or Big Data). I have direct experience with Cassandra and MongoDB and a general understanding of Hadoop, CouchDB, Redis and HBase. I am looking into continuing down this path and getting deeper understanding and experience with these technologies.
