As an art historian with depth of experience across the humanities, I engage students in the study of the arts and design, building on the strength of resources for experiential learning at Grand Valley and across the Great Lakes region. My teaching uses interdisciplinary approaches to actively engage students in problem-based learning in Honors courses on the History of Collecting, Art and Empire, and Home Places as well as Diversity in the United States, Survey of Art History, and as a member of a team-taught Honors course on European cultural history.
