Venkatesh has about 20 years of experience in software development and architecture.
Venkatesh has been working on Hadoop for nearly a decade. He started as an early large-scale user of Lucene and Hadoop at Thomson Learning as a Distributed Search Architect. He then joined Yahoo! in 2007 and designed hadoop ETL at internet-scale that managed 300+TB of data in 3000+ data sets across 26 hadoop clusters with 40K computers. He then joined Hortonworks and has been leading the data integration, data management, metadata and data governance efforts for Hadoop.
