Born to a missionary family in Seoul Korea, I grew up as an American who only had my parents' memories of life in the US to tell me what my homeland was like. I attended Seoul Foreign School with a few 1 year furlough breaks to visit the states that gave me a slight taste of American life before I graduated in '79. Freshman year of college at Seattle Pacific University, chosen at random from the pages of Campus Life magazine, and knew 0 people there - cried a lot! Transferred to Rutgers University in New Jersey to finish out my last 3 years, studied Russian language and PoliSci, was very involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship where I met my sweetheart, David.
