When I was a kid, I had only a ZX Spectrum clone. First non-gaming activity was "hacking" simple game named "Dictator". That's how I learned BASIC.
CP/M was my first real OS. Assembler - first programming language. I learned Active Directory on the leaked beta of Windows NT 5.0. My virtual desktop story started with a connection broker for the Citrix Presentation server. I use server virtualization since Microsoft Virtual Server and VMware GSX times.
