Mr. Szautner practices as a Forensic Engineering Consultant for DJS Associates, after retiring from Cowan Associates, Inc., a Quakertown Civil and Structural Engineering firm for which he worked and which he managed for 35 years. He started with the firm in 1973 as a junior project engineer, became branch office manager in 1975, partner and Vice President in 1980 and retired as President in 2008. He received his advanced engineering degree from the Technical University of Vienna in his native Austria.
