I joined Manchester Business School, University of Manchester in late February 2011. I have specific interests and expertise in the researcher development and innovation agenda. I am coordinating a team from the University which is collaborating in an European Commission funded project on the role of HEIs in stimulating a more entrepreneurial society. I have recently led and completed a UK wide research and evaluation study into the impact of industry sponsored doctoral research training, focusing on the Engineering Doctorates (EngD). This work was sponsored and supported by the EPSRC and the Association of the Engineering Doctorates.
