Business academic with scholarly and practical interests in global entrepreneurship and innovation
As a scholar, I study (and teach) how social networks influence knowledge flows, innovation and entrepreneurship, especially at the level of the firm, geographical cluster or global diasporas; I'm also interested in entrepreneurial finance, especially in cleantech.
Outside academia, I work with companies in these areas, for instance with a (diaspora) entrepreneur in the area of predictive analytics and big data and an inventor of a patented waste-to-energy technology; I'm also interested in entrepreneurial ecosystems and networks.
