Let's imagine an attic, a dim light and an acoustic guitar. From here are born Francesco Renna's songs, among post-it, notes, letters, dylanian's visions, bossa nova's harmonies, blues' rhythms and photos' patchworks.
Roots are purely of a songwriter, but the approach to songs can really refer to Chris Rea or Willie Nelson. "Some years ago I tended to push my songs into a forced dimension, which not only it perverted them, but it also contributed to kill them. Now I can say to give more space to lyrics and music in an interpretative way, trying to free them, not to packing them".
