I have 40+ years of forestry and forest-related working experience, of which 20 years in international sphere. My main expertise: (i) forestry sector reforms including legislation, policies, strategies and programmes; (ii) public and private forestry institutions; (iii) forest sector analyses, planning and economics; (iv) harmonisation with EU forest-related law ; (v) timber tracking systems; (vi) close-to-nature silvicultural systems and techniques; (vii) forest certification standards; (viii) establishment of forest NATURA 2000 sites, (ix) forestry capacity building; (x) international forestry project management.
