Has been known to do physics for a living. Still researches and teaches (casually). Never feels he knows enough but has a curiosity way beyond his brain's capacity to keep up.
Interested in the origin of languages and speaks a few. Is now utterly beguiled by Portuguese - after (re)discovering Brazilian music, which seems to come from infinite wells of sensuality, spirituality and sheer artistic genius.
Would love to samba but has feet of clay (or maybe lead). Instead, enjoys low-skills running around the oval. Flat and grassy is good (very good).
