I'm a typical (8 languages, 13 countries) Irish nomad. Over 25 yrs as a sales/marketing/CX salaryman, building what works & doesn't across many cultures, industries & business models, I saw that most boards & investors have industrial-era" financial/tech engineering", but not 21st century "customer delight" skills, yet, generally, far greater value in the latter. CLV (customer lifetime value) is the primary generator of EV (enterprise value) as opposed to the value-add of accountants or technology-push, build-it-because-we-can-&-they-will-come hubris.
