Dr Geordan Shannon (BMed, DRANZCOG, MPH) is an Australian doctor working clinically in public health, with particular emphasis on gender equity, Indigenous reproductive health and human rights. Her research interests include health inequities facing Indigenous Australian women, global health and reproduction, human rights approaches to public health, gender equity as a key international development target, and sustainable community-led approaches to healthcare .
