Gerardo currently is the Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs for Univision and Telefutura Arizona. He is also a TV Host of Univision's Comunity News Magazine "Enlace AZ". He was named to this position in January 2011. Before Unvision, Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon named Higginson as one of his top assistants in January 2004. His main responsibilities as a Senior Assistant to the Mayor included Spanish-language and minority media relations and acting as the chief liaison to the Hispanic and immigrant communities.
