My research has been centered around programming language theory — principles of programming and the mathematical basis for programming paradigms such as functional or object-based or object-oriented or (dependently) type-theoretic; computation schemes, approximation theories/computability. In practical terms this means a certain knowledge of the fundamental principles behind languages such as Java, C#, C++, Objective-C, Scala, etc but also JavaScript/AIR (object-based) as well as other kinds of languages, especially e.g. F#, Haskell, Standard ML, Scala, Erlang.
