For more than 15 years I have been dedicated to the identification, analysis and modeling of Natural Hazards and environmental conflicts. During the last ten years I have been enthusiastic about the application of GIS and Earth Observation Techniques for Risk Analysis for flooding, storms, landslides, volcanoes, earthquakes and forest fires. My experience also involved a strong social component meant to evaluate factors such as Hazard, Vulnerability and Resilience from the perspective of threatened communities. I also have adequate training for mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction for development plans, CCA, urban and land use planning and DRM.
