My main technical skills / interest are in working on large scale distributed backend systems for data collection, transaction processing, data processing, and data management. Including the design of any constituent network services and low level components. I come from a C++ background, and yet I have been a fan of Haskell and Erlang(actor-systems) since I started with computer science though I could never commit to them due to the lack of libraries and tools.
