With a training in fine arts and photography, I started my career in 1988 as a freelance photographic assistant and photographic stylist in London. I had a blast and I loved the work, but I was in search of a true adventure. So after two years and a chance encounter, I joined a charity theatre company in Scotland which shone a spotlight on issues of the day; the growing problem of homeless, young kids in prison and children mixed up with drugs, homeless and prostitution. During six years with this award-winning charity, I put my hand to fundraising, IT, press relations, tour management and became the general manager, reporting to the board, for the last three years.
