The mission of The American Cancer Society is “to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, through research, education and advocacy which has become a highly successful component in our fight, as well as a service.” It has been my pleasure to work for this organization which has genuinely inspired me through its vision and good stewardship. I feel I have made a contribution to the recent transformation as the organization becomes collaborative and highly motivated with an emphasis on volunteers and sponsorship.
