I am interested in High Performance Computing (HPC), from the top-level applications, to the lower-level programming models, compilers, debuggers, profilers and other programming tools, until the bottom-level parallel architectures and parallel file systems. My work is to find the parallelism of an application, then express the parallelism using different parallel programming models, and finally map the parallelism to the underlying parallel architecture. The overall goal is to maximize the performance of applications.
