I teach English because I am fascinated by expressions of humanity and the power of language to build understanding between those diverse expressions. I teach young people because I find joy in nurturing them through the challenges of growth into new discoveries and successes. I consider it my calling to support students in developing their capacity to communicate effectively, think critically, and act considerately as citizens of a global community. I believe in literacy as a tool for empowerment.
