I got my Ph.D from Environmental Remote Sensing Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison in December, 2012, with the thesis title "Reliable Automatic 3D Surface Extraction Incorporating Image Matching and Object Recognition"; and a master degree from Computer Science department in December, 2001. I also hold another master degree from Institue of Remote Sensing and GIS, Peking University (1994). Before I went to Madison, I worked 4 years (1994-1998) as a software engineer in Beida Jadebird Business Information System, Ltd. My undergraduate major was Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from Wuhan University (was Wuhan Technical Univeristy of Surveying and Mapping)
