I'm currently a physician-educator at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the John Dingell VA Medical Center, both in Detroit, Michigan. My research and teaching interests focus on barriers to quality end-of-life care, especially with patients from ethnic, religious, or geographic minority groups.
I'm also a career bioethicist with an interest in ethics and professionalism education. I'm working with people to develop a bioethics curriculum focusing on Islamic bioethics.
I'm a pulmonologist and critical care physician.
