Born into a small town Citrus family with very strong family values. We were in Church and or Sunday School every Sunday. Mom was a Cub Scout Den Mother for me and my brother Bill, and later a Brownie Leader for my baby sister Sue's Brownie Club. Dad was involved with the local Scout Troop when we became Boy Scouts, and Coached Little League Baseball. I grew up playing all types pf sports except football due to a head injury. We spent much of every summer living at Salt Springs Florida. My cousin Al and I were taught how to run a small motor boat at the age of 10 and would go down Salt Run playing Sea Hunt and Tarzan.
