The reality of organization and management has been the central theme in my professional life as a teacher, consultant, researcher and trainer. Appreciation of the dynamics of organizing, rather than the construction of idealized models and change trajectories, is central to my work. Under labels such as ‘organizational culture’, ‘leadership’ and ‘change’ I try to contribute to the development of viable practices of management, without imposing normative ideals or idealist dreams on the complex reality of management.
