Kent has recently received his doctorate degree at the University of Bath in 2012. He obtained his B.Sc Honours degree in 2006 and M.Sc degree in 2008, both in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. In 2009, he was employed by the South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in the Mechatronics and Micro-Manufacturing Department.
He started his PhD in January 2010 in Engineering Tomography Lab (ETL) with Dr Soleimani. His research interest is related to Magnetic Induction Tomography (MIT), including the system hardware design as well as image reconstruction software.
