I am an Associate Professor of Beef Production at the Instituto de Producción Animal of the Universidad Austral de Chile. I was born in Santiago capital of Chile, I undertook my studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile where I obtained a Technician degree in Agriculture. After a few years working, I studied a Bachelor degree in Agronomy at the Universidad Católica de Temuco. Finally, I undertook my graduate studies (MS and PhD) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, under supervision of Dr. Terry L. Mader.
